Nottingham-based Guy Phoenix has confirmed its sponsorship of the Nottingham Post Sports Awards as the business proudly supports one of the event’s 15 categories.

The business, who build and develop luxury homes and interiors, has multi-million-pound commissions in its portfolio. And for more than 20 years they have been bringing their clients’ dream builds to life with projects spanning the UK.

Their involvement with the awards has seen them get behind the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Player of the Year award which praises the individual achievements of one of the club’s professional team members.

During the special awards ceremony, which this year returns to the East Midlands Conference Centre on Thursday 31 October, the business’ Owner and Founder, Guy Phoenix, will present the trophy to its deserving winner.

Speaking about the awards and their chosen category, Mr Phoenix said: “The cricket club is very much at the heart of region’s sporting community and we are excited to be highlighting one of its stand-out players.

“We believe this category suits our company best and the personalities of those that work around us. In getting involved with these awards we also hope to raise the profile of our company through networking events, social media and other advertising.

“Our business has a reputation among high net worth individuals and indeed, sportspeople having been approached by some of the highest paid sportsmen in the world previously.”

The Nottingham Post Sports Awards has long been the culmination of two worlds – sport and business – as local businesses step forwards to support the community’s proudest sporting achievements.

Of the parallels between the two, Mr Phoenix said: “Like any individual or company those that reach the highest level need to be focused and dedicated to their individual sport.

“Both business and sport become a lifestyle rather than an occupation. Of course, nowadays the rewards in sport are almost unrivalled when reaching the highest level.”

Guy Phoenix join the likes of Breedon, Butler & Willow, BMI The Park Hospital, Ikano Bank and many more as category sponsors.
