When it comes to providing the drinks for this year’s Nottingham Post Sports Awards there couldn’t be a more fitting sponsor than Revolution Cornerhouse.

Located on Forman Street, Revolution Cornerhouse is part of one of the city’s most thriving restaurants and bars offering a huge range of cocktails, wines, spirits and more.

During the day the restaurant serves an eclectic menu of street food inspired dishes such as loaded fries, burgers, pizza and sandwiches. Post 9pm seven days a week, the venue transforms into the go-to for late night partygoers staying open until 3am.

So, it’s safe to say the business knows a thing or two about throwing a good party.

As per previous years the Nottingham Post Sports Awards will kick proceedings off with a Champagne reception where all guests will receive complimentary glasses of bubbles. And Revolution Cornerhouse is proudly making its sponsorship debut as Champagne sponsor.

Andrew Barker, General Manager of Revolution Cornerhouse explained more about this and their decision to partner up with the awards in this way.

“We have heard fantastic things about this event and chose to get involved this year as a way of giving something back to the community,” he said.

“As a thriving bar in the local hospitality industry we are keen to be promoting the achievements of the people that we often welcome through our doors.

“And what says ‘celebration’ more than a glass of bubbles?”

The Nottingham Post Sports Awards is primarily a platform to recognise the sporting achievements of people of all ages, abilities and at all levels. However, it has long been an event which champions another of the region’s strong communities – business.

Each year the awards provide the opportunity for sport and business to come together, intertwine and network with one another. This is exactly the purpose of the Champagne reception and something that Mr Barker sees great value in.

“This event is massively important for us to network with potential customers,” he said.

“It enables our brand to be showcased to thousands of UK and international businesses, meet a new demographic of clients and form meaningful and professional relationships with people who may be interested in using our space and facilities.

“They also provide us with the opportunity to increase our presence within the hospitality industry and increase awareness of Revolution as a brand, not just a cocktail bar.”

The Nottingham Post Sports Awards will be taking place on Thursday 31 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
